like 40% and 40 seconds. my videos are hardly 2 minutes long and pretty crap. Way too many of the views are my own as well.
Hopefully my current edit will increase both significantly as its a full compilation i expect to be 5-7 minutes, 4k and better edited. :)

Hi Priminik. hmm. My video average length are about 4 minutes and i get around 50% watch time. I don't know whats normal as I've only ever had one channel. It will be interesting to see what others are achieving. You didn't share your stats.. how about you?

my average watch time right now is 6:30. but sometimes it spikes up, because of the kind of content I make. I have alot of videos that are quit long, so my watch time sometimes averages 10-15 minutes even. Which i think is pretty dang cool :) I don't pay super close attention to watch time though. I get more excited about subs

I don't have an average video length. Some can be over a half hour and others, under 5 minutes.

Channel-wide, I have a 3:07 minute average view duration stat on my main channel and 5:10 on another.

Last 28 days my average view duration was 3:15, but some of my videos are long and others are short so it's hard to tell what that means. My average percent watched could use some improving, it's only 27.4% in the last 28 days. That said it ends up translating to about 1.3 million minutes watched, so it's not like your retention can't suck and still get you views and watchtime. I have a video that got 2,000 views over the last 48 hours and has been doing well for a while with 92% like ratio, and it only has 23% retention, so it continues to get suggested despite that. I don't know what that means, but I think better retention would help my view to sub ratio so I should probably clean it up haha.

Wow, some great percentages here. I wish...a fair bit of my content is 30mins+ so I don't expect massive percentages but I'm always striving for 50%.

Instead, my average view duration is just 3:15 and percent is only 21%, sad to say.

I have some videos with about 65%, but ironically they don't perform as well...which just goes to show that YouTube incentivizes total watch time above relative retention.
