Haha, i suppose it is a double standard, But to turn your hobby, into a job, would be very fulfilling, doing something you love instead of working under someone else's jurisdiction.

Yea, and it would be very fulfilling to be lying on the beach on the Bahama's every day while my bank account is increasing because of dividend/interest.

Point is, this is possible, but only for those who are able to achieve. Are you up to that? I know I'm most probably not.

Not with that attitude, I feel like if people had the general drive to do it they would see it as not only a hobby, but a job opportunity, your not going to get anywhere if you don't do anything and be positive about it. All our lives they tell us to dream big and if you work hard for it you can achieve it. Now for some it might be super easy others not so much, that doesn't mean everyone doesn't work for it.

That is absolutely not true. There's more then just working hard, but you will know when you're more mature and experienced.

Sometimes it's good to face the facts and try to work from there, instead of dreaming the dream. I agree, doing nothing won't get you anywhere. But trying to work hard while not improving your skills won't get you anywhere too.

For example you decided to ignore the most important key question which determines whether you might make it or you will be like all the other millions Youtubers:
So if you want to make it, you have to find what your added value is to Youtube. Why the heck do somebody need to watch your video? And not watching other Youtubers? And why should that viewer return? Find answers to this question and you might be good to go.

Your not talking to a naive teenager, I am more mature for my age than i should be, so i look at all aspects, As for experience there is always room to improve, But I've also learned from my families experience because we all have a tendency to want to do our own thing and become successful in our hobbies. So I understand not everyone is going to make it! There has to be a percentage of people who will not prevail in youtube, understandable. They as in parents, teachers, even peers. I've honestly had several people come up to me and say you will go far in anything that you do so i refuse to believe otherwise, not to say that i don't have a backup plan if youtube falters, Many people have told me to just forget about school and focus on youtube, which is stupid because i want to have a degree to back myself up on. You work hard to improve yourself, you seek out the advice from others to also improve yourself. As for your questions, people shouldn't need to watch my videos, they should want to because they would enjoy my personality, My play style, Commentary or just my knowlege on games and other topics I may talk about. They should return because they want to know more, they would want to see my story unfolds and see me grow.

That's truly a stupid advice. Off course not even 1 % of all the Youtubers are able to earn a household income from Youtube. And even if you do make it, Youtube might collapse for whatever reason, thus leaving you with nothing. Getting a degree as a backup is a plan I would support.

That's what 95 out of 100 Youtuber would say when I'm asking this question. So now: why should I keep watching your videos? Because of your personality? That's not it, because if it was, it would already have catched on if you really were active years ago.

I'll stop here, because I become whiney and I made my point. I would like to say: if that's your big dream you should try go for it. But (in my opinion) you need to have some kind of a plan and break that down in steps. For example: What's your plan for the first step to get your first 10K views/1000 subs coming? Stick with that plan and try to achieve that with your own designed strategy. After achieving it, go to the next step. .


The only problem is by doing so, is attempting reaching your goal will become like work, and that's not really what you wanted...
