Date For The Revenue Split Changes?

So there's been all this talk about MCN's changing a bunch lately, and the whole managed/affiliate thing seems to be underway. I also remember reading about Youtube allowing networks that are able to to offer higher than the default 55/45 Google split, has there been any confirmed date on when this will happen?

There's no such thing, every network has their own subjective contracts, for example my network his on a 35/65 with Youtube. I know that bigger networks have better deals, but there's no day that every network gets a new deal.

I interpret that differently. YouTube is still taking their reported 45% cut. But with Ad sales, YouTube is taking their cut up to a certain amount. If a network sells Ads for higher than a certain threshold, the network receives the premium.

In other words, If YouTube's Adsense team gets Advertiser ABC to pay $10 CPM but a network gets ABC to pay $12, then YouTube only keeps 45% of $10, not 45% of $12.

Sorry but that is just not true... every MCN is on 55/45%, even the biggies such as ChannelFlip / Base79 / CollectiveDigital.
The only companies/users on YouTube to ever not have the strict 55/45 were TV Networks (who still had nothing like 65/35) and now even they have got that changed to 55/45.[DOUBLEPOST=1384864300,1384864176][/DOUBLEPOST]

The split will remain at 55/45, the change is that creators will be able to gain a higher % of that years earnings after passing a 100,000$+ threshold.

No, you are still wrong. Machinima has been operating on better terms than 45/55 for their bigger partners for over 4 years now, and as someone who's FULL TIME JOB is Youtube, you'd think I know a big more about it wouldn't you? I've gone to extreme lengths to research my earnings, and I can indeed confirm, that it's a changed split for my network. Please don't spread misinformation, about a topic which you know nothing about.

Machinima has no such deal, the MCN I work for is in talks with 3 of their top 20 partners and I assure you they're on no such agreements...
Either does your network, and if you think otherwise then youve been fed alot of untruths...

This is not something someone has told me, this is what I can deduce by looking at how much money goes on from the gross earnings (65%). You are dumb if you think every network is the same. With my old network only 55% went to the network/me.
