Daily vlogging... Yay or Nay?

Check out my channels!!
Hi guys! I'm just about to start daily vlogging for the next month or so as my band and I tour Europe literally driving from country to country, and I just wanted to know what your thoughts were on daily vlogging?

Do you enjoy when someone uploads daily? Do you think it clogs up the channel or what?

Let me know!

I personally don't find watching vlogs very entertaining, especially ones where the person is doing normal day to day stuff

You should go for it. Touring in a band would be more interesting than most Vloggers lives and you already have an audience. Check out Charles Trippy at http://www.youtube.com/user/CTFxC - He's bassist in a band and has been doing daily Vlogs for several years now.

I think it's a cool idea for things like touring trips. Just be sure to use proper SEO techniques and it should pay off.

It sounds like you have a compelling subject (touring Europe with a band! Cool!) so I'd go for it. I wouldn't normally suggest anyone try daily vlogging, because almost every daily vlogger I've watched who started in the past year or so gave up after about 2 months, because it's a lot of work, and people don't tend to have interesting enough lives to find content for the videos each day. Better to do a vlog once a week or a couple of times a week to avoid burnout and find interesting subjects, BUT....you're doing something cool!

Yeah like the others here, I think the key is having something interesting to show. Most new daily vloggers think they can get away with just showing their day to day life. Casey Neistat might be able to do that, but he actually goes to great length to make sure he's always doing something interesting.

The biggest thing for us is that it's really hard to vlog daily when traveling. Do you think you'll have a hard time filming and editing every day while playing in your band?

We're visiting family at the moment, but when we were traveling intensely over the last few months, we started to work one day, then vlog the next. This pattern worked out well for us by relieving the pressure to always be doing something interesting.

Good luck if you decide to do it!

I agree with Eric. Editing can be time consuming, unless each video is under 4-5 minutes.. If you think it will be interesting, go for it. But the editing could wear you out.

Seconded. Fans love when band members vlog (strengthens the fan community), plus it can grow your channel and even your band's following. Just make sure you will have enough time set aside for editing, which of course is time consuming. And, you know, that you'll have reliable wifi. Although that's probably not a problem in Europe. The upside is that editing vlogs is easier than editing regular videos (to me at least).

Charles's videos are awesome, I've been watching him for a while now! It's crazy how he keeps up the daily vlogs so much! For me, I couldn't really imagine doing them when I'm not on tour, unless you literally can do stuff everyday! I'll see how these vlogs go for now now, I've got quite a lot on in October but right now I just think it'll be really cool for people to see what its like a) being in a band b) being in a band touring EUROPE, travelling country to country.

I just think that's so cool! I'd love to watch someone do that, not even in a band to be honest, just anyone travelling! (I'm actually searching for new you tubers now who have done similar stuff haha!) You never know what you're gonna find! I would love to stumble upon some hidden gems like empty/derelict theme parks etc
