Daily Uploads VS. Bi-Weekly Uploads (EXPERIMENT)

thanks for the detailed response brother! I will attempt to address all of your questions!

1. you asked about the business cards...i can see the results from this because I have had people I hand them out to comment on the videos and say "hey i met you in starbucks, great video!" or "i was one of the kids at the park in the tom brady video!!!" or "thanks for putting me in the video!" ...a lot of examples like that. the goal with that is to (1) market and (2) honestly to build a genuine community. what i mean by this is i genuinely care about my subs and this adds another layer to that where a group of our subs we have actually met in person and had even more interaction with (beyond the comment box). it gets them involved. I could have made the cards better, but it was supposed to be a quick tease kind of thing. my experience with business cards (from businesses i've started on my own) is that they get thrown away most of the time anyways, so it's not worth the time to make them overly extravagant. (PS. i can track the demographics further by checking the analytics of my channel and filtering by my location).

2. Yes, i absolutely intend on doing a "results of the daily upload" video at the end of the month!!!

3. I appreciate your feedback and critical thoughts. One of your first points was about the process and the "atmosphere" we are trying to create. I know it's hard to explain but basically the daily upload is not a gimmick or an attempt to "trick" our viewers...but rather it's a push for us to be creative. "If I'm forced to make a video everyday, can I do it and can I create great content consistently?" Also it forces me to be more efficient and learn how to be better at editing/uploading/time management.

All in all, this experiment and promoting a "positive atmosphere" is my main goal. I want to build a community of people who support each other. You said you're not sure how to do this with the various styles of subs you have who follow you...check out the video I just posted (500 subscriber special / WE WATCH YOUR VIDEOS)...i shouted out a wide range of channels intentionally. I want others to see great content, up and coming people, and people who may otherwise not get exposure. I plan on continuing this trend as long as I have a YouTube channel for years to come.

Many extremely successful people in business, such as Mark Cuban from Shark Tank (and the other sharks as a matter of fact), live by the saying "you have to become a local hero first." what that means is you have to promote yourself and build a business locally and build a loyal fanbase before anything else. With YouTube, this is obviously online first with subs/friends online/this forum/etc and also in person (business cards, promoting to people we talk to, friends/family). The point is that even though a group of our viewers do come from friends/supporters/other small channels...i think that's totally ok! that's what we are all here for (imo) and we should always continue to support each other and i (personally) would love to see a fellow channel blow up and say "i helped them" or "i was there in the beginning" you know?

FINAL THOUGHTS

thanks again for your support and feedback. I really hope that you understand the motives behind this experiment and our videos are completely genuine and honest. the minute we start making videos "just to make videos" or become gimmicky is the day we stop doing it. we make movies and videos because we love to make them and love to share them with people[DOUBLEPOST=1486932063,1486932026][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thanks for the support man! I will do an update soon...been very busy lately for a lot of reasons i will explain soon

1. Fantastic Job! Glad to hear your work has been doing well. Thanks for adding more information on this, really cool to hear that you've inspired a lot of others to reach out and support you. I especially loved the park videos and the kids saying, "thanks for putting me in the video!" Also, glad to hear your interactions are both inside and outside of YouTube. Great point to remind me that comment box is one thing, but outside interaction is just as critical. As for the cards I agree just as much. I loved your design as it was simple and to the point. From you adding this information shows me that the way you have combined your work and the cards have been going hand in hand. Much better than I originally expected (basing most of it on the comments only). Thanks for sharing this and opening my mind to your efforts. It is great how your past experiences (businesses) have been able to be included with this channel. Just by stating this shows a lot of your personality tied into your content. And awesome on the demograhics!

2. AWWW, I cannot wait :D!

3. Exactly my thoughts! Spot on the creativity and time management (gosh, editing is too much of a pain). From your announcement video regarding the daily upload it definitely did not come off as a "gimmick or trick." It showed a lot that you two planned it out and gave a lot of thought to experiment (especially knowing the difficulties of change and availability). Glad to hear the positive atmosphere you are aiming for is supportive. I just remembered our replies on my introduction thread (thanks for reminding me). From your recent videos it has proved to be very successful (positive atmosphere and reaching to the community), especially from your football video, haha (that and the fact that others have reached out to you saying thanks for including them). Oh, and thank you for mentioning the 500 special video. I will definitely watch it. Happy to find another channel that shares the same ideal of sharing others work! Wow, loved the way you stated the importance of "you have to become a local hero first." This really "clicked" for me and it puts more perspective on how a business card and other means of networking could have a very successful approach when you think of it in a different light. I fully agree on supporters being small channels and family, very important to keep those close to your side. And yes, same emotions. "I helped them," and "I was their in the beginning" really does emotionally drive me to assist others. Thanks a lot for sharing all this!

From the start your channel has felt genuine and has never deviated from its path. Even now, after your announcements and especially this reply, it feels more genuine and valued for all of us. I appreciate all your words and would like to thank you for replying. I hope that my rant did not come off as aggressive as I never intended it and am appreciative for sharing this with me. Thanks again for sharing everything as it has given me insight into viewing things in a different manner. Can't wait for that results video and will always support your goals and atmosphere!
