So I was under the impression that providing you a) were a generic Partner and b) had good standing that you should get custom thumbs after 1 month.

It's been 1 month (well technically 1 month in about 12 hours, so maybe that's it) and I still don't have them.

Could it simply be a case of waiting it out for half a day? Or is there some specific criteria I'm not meeting?

I should add: I am a partner but disabled monetisation, which I know people have done before and still got custom thumbs.

No it doesn't, i have monetization disabled from the beginning and i still got them after a month

I'm not partnered at all and I have the ability to customize my thumbnails. I'm not exactly sure if it's a beta or not. I've also heard they will soon allow everyone to have a banner also...
