Custom Thumbnails?

Why do they take so long to make the change? I'll upload a thumbnail, and save it and change it, but it seems to take hours before it actually will change to the thumbnail.

Maybe they have to verify that the image is allowed on youtube.
If you uploaded a thumbnail of a girl naked then of course it will get a lot of views from guys - but it might have nothing to do with your video - people would just click it for the image. Plus nudity is against youtube's policy so they wouldn't allow it to go up. So that's probably why it takes a bit longer.

I'm just guessing, so if anyone knows another reason then feel free to correct me

Depending on the size of it processing takes time, if you have scheduled uploads, upload the thumb in advance

Your browser is more than likely the cause. The browser cache has cached the first image that it was, and sometimes it can take it awhile to cache the next one that you put. Sometimes it won't do it all if you don't clear it. So, more than likely, its showing up as the new thumbnail for everyone, but you.

Nah, it's YouTube. That happens to me all the time. That's why you make them in advance and upload them whilst the video is processing. This allows the video to process the thumbnail along with the video itself.
