OMG Finally!!! DAR HERE!!! I hate post about it but I am so freakin excited!!! As a gaming channel people take your videos WAY more seriously with dem thumbnails!!! Monetize one video, then don't get ANY content strikes for 30-40 days and you'll get them.

I also am able to use them now, but i haven't monetized any videos yet. Perhaps it's just a matter of waiting for the youtube gods to look upon us with kind eyes?

@PowerfulRedHat, maybe it counts from the day your first video is uploaded. My first video was uploaded on 2/24, so today I got the custom thumbnail option!
