custom microphone stand!

HEY LOOK! a distraction!
I finally got a chance to bring this home and i'm excited! pretty much I wanted a new stand for my microphone and I really like the long stands that extend out to reach your face because i'm getting tired of leaning forward when I record but my parents didn't want the stand in the way on the floor. So because I am in a metal shop class that I'm pretty good in I thought, you know what I am going to make one BUT it will be a custom desk stand with what I want so they cant complain. So I made a blue print, showed my teacher and he approved it and with two weeks of hard work I finally created this and it holds up extremely well. I just have to buff it more to get the scratches out and put some black foam on the bottom so it doesn't scratch my desk and I should be finished :D

also I don't know why the picture it tilted on here, it is fine on my computer :p

ya I was thinking of that actually xD but I like building things and it came to mind and i'm glad I finished it in time because I have like 4 days left in school haha
 
That looks really nice, how long did it take you to finally finish it? Although it's not custom this is my stand:

also I just noticed that this is.... DESKTOP INCEPTION!!! (sorry it had to be done :p) and I mean that because you are posting a picture of your desktop while looking at my desktop picture :p
