I think the issue with the rule of thumb of $1 per 1000 is a problem too.

I've been doing $5 per 1000 views for over a year now. 20k subs.

I'll definitely make a living off of 40k views a day.

Brand deals can be landed when you videos start hitting 10 to 20k in a 28 day period.

Definitely possible. Depends on what you're doing.
