I went directly to r/videos. This isn't going to work for everyone since not everyone's content will be reddit-friendly. They are a fickle community and certainly will not respond well to self-promotion. Also, I did this have in 2015. Nowadays, I think they tamper down on self-promotions much more strictly and it wouldn't be easy to get anywhere near the front page if people think your goal is just to get people to watch your videos. And this is before even considering whether they will be receptive to your content in the first place.
