"Creating" Viral Videos.

Beanbag

I Love YTtalk
I've seen a few people over the last couple of days asking how to "Make A Viral Video".

Only a few days ago, a user posted the thread "Artificial Viral Video" in which he stated..

Do you guys think it would be possible to artificially create a viral video by pushing it through with your subscribers as a sort of "experiment" to see if that's actually possible. Take a 20 second generic fall video with an interesting thumbnail and see how many views you can get it. Tell your subscribers that you'll post "reward videos" (actual content that they'll want to see) every time the "viral video" gets to a certain view count.

Now, our friendly neighborhood legend gisikw posted in reply
Nope. The threshhold for virality is far too high for you to cause something like that. Now, perhaps if you hacked reddit...

Which is true, there is no plausible way to create a video with the sole intentions of it going viral. And Blake also made the statement " It seems like all the big Youtubers got their start with a viral video". Yes, this may be true. BUT, They didn't make the video with the mindset of it going viral, they were uploading another video to their channel c:

It was pure luck, and it didn't just happen straight away! They had to of worked their butt of to create a video that not only went viral, but had the quality to make people come back for more!

So Please, stop asking us for ways to make a video go viral, as you will get the same answer every time.

- this is not directed at anyone either :p -

Congratz on the 100 by the way!!! I just noticed. Haha. Anyways, yeah, there is no way to "Predict" a video going viral in my opinion, the right person just has to see it.

I had one video start to go viral.. but I caught it early and get it the proper medication with plenty of rest and it is fine now.
