Create your own Transition?

This may sound weird and i have never seen anyone on youtube do it before. I want to create my own transition with a logo i have created. I basically want it to be like the transition when FIFA shows a replay. Is there a video equivalent to a PNG? because that would help me. I do not want to pay for any services, I'm just trying to find a tutorial or template.

I think you could do that in AfterEffects though I have no idea how exactly.
