CPU Rig Upgrading Please Help!

I've Got It
What is the best thing to replace from a CPU first, the processor or the internal hard drive, and what kind of hardware is more reliable. (P.S. i am using this rig for both gaming and recording)

Upgrade the processor( CPU), or add some more RAM in may help. My Rendering is nice and quick, 1 hour for a 15 min video with 8GB RAM and a decent CPU.

all right what brand or type of processor would you recommend.
Depends really, I wouldn't go out buying stuff like that because it may not fit in with your motherboard or whatever, if anything I would buy a PC just for rendering with your software, and drag it over for you to use. You can do all your social media, uploads and stuff on it, it should work really well. That's what I'm thinking of doing soon.

You need to post everything you have before any recommendations will be of use. Current CPU, Motherboard, video card, RAM, etc.

CPUs will only fit certain boards depending on the manufacturer and socket.

RAM first, then hard drive, then CPU.
With what computers ship with stock, the RAM is totally inadequate for video editing (especially on macs) so bumping that puppy up will speed things up as the computer would rely less on the hard drive as a "scratch disk". Speaking of hard drive, that's the 2nd thing because it IS used as a scratch disk. If you do these 2, you may not need to upgrade the CPU (though gaming tends to be the biggest CPU hog).
