CPM Per Individual Video

UKHypnotist

I Love YTtalk
Have any of the members ever checked the CPM on individual videos, rather than the general channel CPM? Attached are two current CPM report pages; one for a video I uploaded on the 22nd of this month, and the second for a video I uploaded at nearly the same point in 2016. Past my bedtime now, so getting some shut eye: but try this yourself and see the difference between per video CPM, and your general channel CPM. I think you will find the contrast interesting.

i've never tried to check the CPM of each video separately, Honestly i don't care a lot about CPM in general because it makes me sad most of the time :D

For now all what i focus about in my channel is the number of daily views and watchtime, because the more people watch your videos the more you will earn.

This is one of the things that really makes me sad about today's YouTube mindset. Everybody seems to be more about the money than about making enjoyable content.

When I started out on YouTube, there was no such thing as a partner program for the average user. It didn't start until I had been creating content for about 4 years; and even then it was by invitation only.

Don't get me wrong; I do like making money from YouTube, but I am also trying to see just how much content I can produce that people will actually enjoy. My goal this year is to grow my content library to a minimum of 325 videos (currently at 217), and my channel subscribership to 6000-7000. I am not going to set too much store by YouTube's algorithm either (this is where the current weight towards watch time comes from).

Like the seasons, it will change, and change on a regular basis!

i'm 100% with you my friend, and to be honest, i care a loooot about making money in every method i try online, actually i decided to work on Youtube because i knew i can make a lot of $$$ :D, but yes i always give the priority to the high quality content or service and i have a strong belief that the more quality you give in life the more benefits you get whether it is Youtube or Selling or anything else.
i wish you the best luck and i wish to see you gaining 1M Subscribers soon.

Thanks for the good wishes, @Rahimys; I'm trying something different this year as far as uploads go too. Scheduled publishing to make my postings more consistent in timing.
