Hi,

Sorry, I haven't used this site much before, but I hope I'm asking in the right place.
This has probably been asked multiple times before but any help would be great.

A friend of mine made a YouTube channel years ago, and uploaded a video on it.
She now wants to take down the video, but she has no access to the YouTube account or email attached to it.
Is there any possible way for her to prove that she owns the account, and then have the video deleted?
Or is it stuck on the internet forever?

Does your friend have another email or perhaps phone # set up with the email account? Only thing I would think she could do is to call up the email centers and ask them. Maybe go to youtube directly, but I wonder how she would prove that the account is hers? Ha maybe she can try flagging her own content for like copyright materials or the like. Jus spitballing. Hope you can resolve the situation~
 
Does your friend still have the original video? I wonder if that would help to prove they're the owner in the event that YouTube are willing to take it down on her behalf.

We tried the phone number but it isn't correct :/
Also I've heard you can get in trouble for falsely flagging videos, but thanks for the suggestions.

How would I go about contacting them directly? Thanks :)
 
When you can't login into YouTube, they ask for verification, she can use the alternate email address, or write down the phone number. After verification, she can access her account and remove the video.
