Copyright music?? blahh

See what I dont get is that: How come there are videos of copyrighted music on youtube? How can they get away with copyright strike etc? Im not talking about Vevo but just ordinary people with no power on youtube. Also, could it be that they're not monetizing the video?
What I noticed is that some songs get sped up or slowed down which I guess youtube doesn't detent, otherwise it could be because they dont monetize.

Certain record/distributing companies are more involved in the process. Plus, YouTube seems to ignore some of the bigger channels in that respect. And then, there are those who do actually get permission... As difficult as that is.

I know I might be a little late in this discussion, but you could also check out freesound.org That's where I get any background music, intro music, etc.

Yes. Just acknowledge the copyright owner of the music when youtube sends you copyright notice.

Y would I want to get a copyright notice first, then credit the copyright music? It should be the other way around shouldn't it?

If you look up net labels, those labels release tons of artists music under Creative Commons

I did that once. Where I actually ask to one of the record label here in Aust. They said that I have to pay Master fee and Creator's fee (i can't remember what it's called exactly)
