Copyright Content?

Hola Youtubers!

So I was wondering that if my videos include copyright music (I do have, probably around 4 videos lol) - will my channel be in problem in the future?

I really don't care about monetising, as long as I get good music with good editing (for a video trip or anything like that) - can I still go on making videos with good songs?

When I started YT I've done like a trip with like one of the chart songs - and that video was blocked in 5 countries, however for other videos especially songs that aren't that famous (but still in iTunes) they weren't blocked in countries; the money just went to the artist (aka couldn't monetise and that's it)

So can I still use copyright songs without any problem? Why are people worried about copyright notices and stuff like that?

Thanks for reading :)
(Sorry for my spanglish)

Normally copyrighted songs should not be a problem at all. Especially when you don't want to monitize your vids. Youtube is pretty good at detecting stuff that is copyrighted and will inform you about it as soon as they processed the video.

They even tell you if you need to do anything in order to keep your good standing. At least that's my personal experience.

The only thing you might have to worry about is you won't be able to monetize them. If you have original video content it's rare for your video to get taken down just for the audio

YouTube has a new cool instrument that lets you find out if your song will be blocked somewhere =)

write the title or artist or both on the searchbar and find out what will be of your video ;)

in orded to avoid any problem you should perform a search using the creative commons search
http://search.creativecommons.org/
only thing you'll need is to insert the artist name, license link and download link on the description ^^
for any kind of content you are gonna use =)

Because you could get "strikes" if your content is blocked worldwide and after 3 strikes your google account turns to disabled and you won't be able to create new accounts ^^ (not at your name, of course)

Your reputation could get dropped with a copyright notice or a strike, which could result in a warning, which offcourse could result in your channel being deleted by youtube (correct me if i'm wrong, pretty new myself and this is what i thought was the case :p)

Thanks guys for your answers!!
(I think quoting everyone's message would spam the whole thread xD)

However I have 2 videos blocked worldwide (well one of them is blocked in 5 countries, and the other one with just one country). But they never told me that I have a strike, or something like that

Yeah I heard about 3 strikes = goodbye account, but where can I count (or know if I have) those strikes xD

How will people know I will have a copyright notice :p (other than networks I guess)

Other people will only know if they watch a video which is not blocked worlwide but only like the audio or something, they will have the message which says there is no audio because of copyright.
But with ''reputation'' i don't mean what other people think of you, but there is a option in your youtube where you can see your reputation. with reputation i mean what youtube thinks of you :p
