Hi guys,
So apparently I discovered a strategy that worked for me. So I went on some more famous vids from my country and wrote in the comments something like this: "Hi guys, I challenge you to finish my Halloween Interactive game on my channel. No one has finished it after the first try."

After that a bunch of people liked my comment and was in top on 3 very famous vids. So my view-rate jumped from 170 views in that day to 1600 today and it continues to grow. I also gained about 30 new subs in the last few days. :)

I tried promoting my vid again today, but the comment got flagged as spam, after receiving about 7 likes.

I think this isn`t the best strategy, but I got some exposure though. Should I continue using it ?...the thing is that I don`t like to p**s people off.
 
I think that its fine as long as you also provide value at the same time, like instead of just commenting for the purpose of gaining exposure, try commenting on other vids with the purpose of just adding to the conversation. I would have no problem with someone doing this with my videos as long as they just didn't spam the whole time :P
 
It's ok I guess but I have a motto

"I'd rather have 150 subscribers that want to watch my videos rather than 1000 subscribers that watch my videos just for something to do at the end of the day"

The same counts as views, but if you're happy doing it then I guess carry on, but don't do it too much otherwise the more people flag your comments the more your YouTube channel is downgraded x Good luck x

That`s true, but it`s also a good thing to grow your channel if you can. :)
 
Hmm... I guess if you challenge most people, they'll be too proud to not accept it, so you have that in your favor. But... Yeah, this does seem like it can be spammy, especially since you posted it on more than one video. It can lead to you getting a bad reputation later on.
