Contacting other YouTubers

I see, I just haven't noticed it's your featured video, not the last upload:D
Omg, I forgot that was my channel trailer! I forgot to change it for the new viewers. Mine was set so only I and returning subscribers could see it. :B

Thanks for pointing that out!

Apparently yes, there are some people over 100k that reply to fan mail. I got some advices on video lenght from Clint of Lazy Game Reviews, I guess it also depends on how you write the message/mail, something like asking for attention in general is badly seen, while asking for advices on a peer level without going into detail can be seen as something positive.
Wow, thanks for the tips!

So you think it's worth it to reach out to them and email even bigger creators from time to time?

That YouTube adventure is getting more and more exciting xd
Especially the community-building part of it!

There is no one-man island anymore. It's time to meet people!

Again, you should do it only when you are in specific situations, for instance looking for advices, you just need to remember to not leave the minimum hint of self promotion, consider it as a more experienced person giving you some heads up.
Of course it changes from creator, Lazy Game Reviews has a good attitude towards his fanbase so he's more likely to reply, the amount of interactions in the comments is a good way to see if he's a good one or a bad one for an email.

NP:D

Is there a way to automate it? I've seen a tool for promoting the latest video using an ad-like overlay only.. ugh!

Yup, I often forget about that tab too!

I've done a collab video with a Youtuber named Tehsmarty, and he has 100k subscribers. It is possible. All you have to do is type in tehsmarty hypixel and you'll find a couple videos which fit your description.

I checked tehsmarty's channel out
I've got to point this out yes he has over 100K subs but he's far from being a big youtuber. I average about the same amount daily views he does and he's got 10 times my subscribers somethings very off about that channel.

It's probably because he's done videos with other Youtubers such as ChilledChaos, MangaMinx, and others. A major channel promotion/shoutout in other words.

I did a Twitch stream with a Youtuber who had 50k subscribers at the time, very early on in my Twitch channel. He hosted me after he was done and I had started streaming. Hardly anyone watches it now because it was a sudden rush of follows that came and went + a year of inactivity. So I see where you're coming from.

Only collab I've done is with someone I know personally, but I would say Twitter DM is the most common or using the private message in YouTube.
