Concentrate on current subs, or bring in new ones?

I have a bit of a problem here... I uploaded a Uncharted 4 video today, and its not doing as good as usual in terms of views and just engagement in general. Same happened with rainbow 6 Siege, so I stopped making videos on it. Thing is I like these games, so what should I do make videos that will bring in new people and make videos that I actually enjoy doing, or stick to stuff I know my subs like and pleasing them as without themthe channel is baisically nothing? I know in an ideal world I would bring new in subs and at the same time kind of 'force' (prob not best word to use) this new content on to my current subsibers, but unfortuanelty this is most likely not going to happen. What would you guys do in my situatuion?

I would and will always make videos I would want to watch, if people don't like it they won't watch and people who will like it will watch. If you want to please people then you need to please yourself first, just my thoughts :)

Do what you enjoy doing otherwise you will get to a point where you wont want to make videos anymore. plus you could always experiment and find what games you like to play and also one that bring people in, theres so many games out there to choose.

Yeah i think making video I want to watch is probably thr best thing to do :) If I don't enjoy making vids, people will pick up on it quickly

Agree with the above... I don't think you have to choose one or the other, necessarily. My rule one is to make videos that I enjoy, and make me laugh. And I think you can still do that, play the things that you like, while also working in videos that your viewers statistically enjoy as well. As long as you don't hate what you're creating, I don't think there's a bad plan, really. :D

That's the problem with gaming channels such as mine. We tend to play games that are enjoyable but only some will stick out to the crowds :crying:

I really do what I want to do on my Channel. I see subscribers come, and I see them go. I don't mind. The key is having fun. If you are having fun the numbers really don't matter. Chasing numbers on YouTube is a sure path to sorrow if they don't come (and in 99.9% of the cases they won't).

Of course, upload what makes you happy, but to take the best of both worlds. Maybe you can try to do a video of those games and another video of the videos that your subs like?
