competition tips/advise.

Ok so has we are trying to grow our brand and build our YouTube subscribers.

We are going to run a competition where rappers/singers do a song to any beat they like and post it has a video response, they must also be a subscriber of our channel to be in for a chance to win.

The rules will be:

  • It must be a video no black screens and just singing
  • They must be subscribed to our channel and the video has to be posted has a video response
  • They need to have FNB TV #beatsforbars in the video title
We will also tell them that they can post there videos on our Facebook page or on our twitter so others can see.

The prizes will be:

  • 1st a pair of solo HD beats by dre.
  • 2nd a pair of SMS street by 50 in-ear headphones.
  • 3rd a iTunes gift card.

We see this has a very good way to brand our channel and help us grow has the people who enter could all one day be stars on our channel, any tips or advise on this would be awesome has this is our first time and we don't wanna mess it up.

If its not going to break your pockets spending money on a giveaway then go for it. Also make sure to have people that are going to participate so you won't end up wasting money.
 
You may want to ask Youtube if requiring entrants to subscribe is OK. They usually restrict what you are allowed to do, so liking/sharing is off limits-not sure about subscribing. In general, if you try to require people to do something that will boost your stats, it's probably against the rules.
 
You don't have to directly ask for subscribers if the contest is open to subs then that will entice folks to subscribe. I don't understand how having a contest for subs would be breaking any rules. But it is best to check.
 
Thanks guys :D, and yeah the headphones we got of a good friend of ours who has a un-boxing channel we never got the boxes but hey when you get given a bone you don't question it hahah he keeps them to show all the stuff he has done.
