Community manager of an MCN.

Hi guys, first off this isn't promotion or anything, I know theese forums don't allow for that specifically.

I just wanted to share that I'm happy, I've gotten an offer to become the community manager for an upstarting MCN, and that's awesome ;D

for a long time I've talked about "making my own network" kind of as a dream, but in this position I'll have tons of influentiality, and I can lead it in the right direction.

I've always wanted for there to be a network for small channels, that had a contract you can leave at any time, they don't rip you off, and you can trust them. There are plenty of networks like this for larger Youtuber's, however I wish I knew that before Yeousch started ripping me off (sorry if you're a fan of yeousch, however they do not deal clean business in my personal opinion)

Anyways I'm very happy about this, I'll also get 30% of what the network earns, so there's huge incentive to grow the network for me. So excited.

Congrats with your new job.
Sounds great.

Any additional details on what benefits this MCN will offer to members (aside from the contract terms you mentioned)?

I've always felt that smaller channels get the hammer laid down pretty easily in terms of false claims against them for content ID/copyright infringements, and they definitely don't have the leverage to fight back in a lot of cases. Are there any plans to offer this sort of intermediary service?

I believe all channels will be managed with this network, also high revenue shares.
I'll also personally be promoting all channels that join.[DOUBLEPOST=1391201340,1391201307][/DOUBLEPOST]
This sounds like an amazing opportunity. Good on you :) You'll have to keep us posted.
Will do!

Managed meaning they will take care of the legalities right? That would be pretty great, and very helpful for people.

Do you have any plans for some sort of quality control with regards to recruiting channels? Or will you simply be using sub/view counts to determine interest and eligibility? It may be hard to use raw numbers if you are focusing on smaller channels. Also does it have a cool name? =)

I don't wanna mention the name, as that would be promoting it here, and that's not what I'm trying to do.
1000 views a month is a bare minimum, and we will naturally do a content control check before allowing people in.
