I definitely watch more youtube content than create. Hell I watch 3 hour podcasts on a weekly basis.
That said, comedy is so subjective. Some people really like the low brow, cheap laughs, fart jokes kinda thing. Others like the more cerebral, ironic i.e. Daily Show kinda thing. And then there's those that like the fringe comedies, the black humor or awkward humor as well.
If what you do is your brand of comedy, there will be an audience out there that digs it. I find everything hilarious, and I always laugh at myself whenever I can.
