Clown video? Is this a good idea?

I'm planning on making a satirical clown video today. where it's almost like a documentary and I'm sad no one enjoys my point of view when it comes to standing and scaring people. Me and a few of my friends think it can be super funny and a great idea.. but then I get my parents and sister saying it could be a bad idea. I feel torn.. I really love this concept. I'm gonna film it anyways but decided when it comes to the final product. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
 
Honestly this whole scary clown thing is getting out of hand, most people see it as a nuisance. The fact its become so wide spread means more people are doing it, and the more people doing it the more of a threat it becomes to the general public. If youve done some research you'll see people have gotten hurt and even died from these so called "pranks". So my advice, i would say avoid this topic for now.

That's a good point.. I guess.. it's just, if I get scared away from this idea how many more will i be afraid to do? It's not like I'll be chasing kids around, more like me standing in an open field wondering why. Idk..
 
Don't do it. This whole Clown thing is just stupid and it's really getting out of hand. Also, almost everyone aren't enjoying these kind of videos anymore. Don't take this personal, but just because scary Clowns are "popular" right now, don't try to capitalize on that by jumping on the Clown wagon. It's not worth it and may even be terrible for a future Youtube career.
 
Maybe not, unless you are making fun of the people dressing up as horror clowns. Even then it might be very tedious to get right. Whatever you do don't go around scaring strangers while dressed as a clown! You might want to avoid being dressed as a clown in public all together.

It's just me making fun of them. I would never chase anyone around

Ok, good. I wasnt sure. ;)

I you feel that it is funny, relevant and adresses the issue in an intelligent way, without causing any harm, I'd say go for it. Take the risk. Trust yourself when deciding what is funny and appropriate.

I think the clown stuff has started to fade now- too many people jumped on it! Plus not worth putting yourself at risk just incase someone fight you.
