thats just a way to limit the 1 zillion amount of videos, your saying that filtering is a thing that gains view which is not true thats just a myth like how gaming videos are easier to gain views its a myth that is never true.

I think you aren't understanding what Tarmack is saying.

You are saying that having CC doesn't help in SEO and you are correct. Tarmack never said anything to the contrary.

In this post, Tarmack agreed with you and also added that people however can do an advanced search and include only results of videos which have CC in them:

and that is also correct.

So obviously if people filter their searches for CC only (which many do) then those videos will get more views for those advanced searches than videos which don't have CC for the very simple reason that the videos without the CC don't even appear in the filtered results.
