Alot of new youtubers including me, dont have or cannot afford to invest in a good microphone or headset yet. So being the indian ;) i found a cheap way to record audio for my gameplays,

What you need:-

Mobile Phone

in my case i have a s4 i9500 , but you dont have to use such a costly phone, a regular old nokia should do, oh and when i mean old i dont mean as old as my grandpa :wtf:

Audacity

Alot of audio editing software cost alot of money and i mean ALOT of money even more than a Blue Yeti in some cases, but still it cant do you wonders like change that lame a** boring voice of yours (including mine) into something really good, i love using audacity it does its job perfectly in my case and removes all the background noise, oh that does not include my neighbours yelling or something like that :mstickle:if you dont know how to use audactiy then your dumb as a 1 year old and yeh thats pretty dumb:bounce: jk ;) i'm sure theres alot of youtube tutorials to help you so yeh you can check it out.

How i do it:-

  • open the voice recording app on my phone
  • hit the record button and simultaneously (Thnk God spell check exists;)) record your screen or console of yourself idk what weird stuff your into haha :p
  • When finished recording then link the audio and video using a video editing software like windows movie maker (free), adobe premiere (i use the trial ver. and install it every time it expires haha )

TIPS WHEN RECORDING AUDIO

  • DO record Audio separately, its much easier to handle

  • Don't Record when the FAN/AC is Switched on
(oh come on 5 mins without a fan or ac is nothing! unless u live in india or africa :p )
  • Try to use a sock as a pop filter, by putting your phone in it (make sure its clean ;))
  • Always stay within 20-30 cm from the phone

I HOPE YOU'LL FIND THIS THREAD HELPFUL!
P.S All the jokes made in this thread are not intended to offend anyone, its just how my personality is )

A rockband mic will do the job and come in at much lower than the price of a mobile phone.
If you're not using a microphone stand for the Rockband mic you're going to have horrid quality if you try to play games and hold that darn mic.

Otherwise it's a rather impressive mic.
