Cheap Editing Software

I wanted to start this thread for any people that need editing software but don't want to dish out hundreds of dollars to be able to edit their videos/graphics/thumbnails for their channels. The software that I use for editing is:

-Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.0: 79.99 USD
as opposed to Photoshop CS6: 199.95 USD

-Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 HD Platinum: around 64.99-75.99 USD when I purchased it
as opposed to Vegas Pro 12 Suite: 899.95 USD and Vegas Pro 12: 599.95 USD.
There is also a new Movie Studio software out now: Movie Studio Platinum 12, which is 94.95 on the Sony Website but I'm probably not going to upgrade to anything newer any time soon.

Now, these software don't have every single feature as the more expensive version, but they offer the key essentials that you will want for editing.

With that being said, post away with any cheap alternatives that you guys use!

I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11, pretty decent bit of kit really. I'm not that good with with editing so I haven't tried to get the full potential out of it, but seems good so far Mine was £35, (GBP).

I used movie maker when I initially started out Youtubing but the downside to it is that the rendering time for videos is ridiculous and it has very little features for actually putting together videos.

Renders tend to take a long time..... in general.

Yes, that's absolutely true, but the difference between rendering on Vegas and rendering on Windows Movie Maker is absurdly huge.

I wouldn't know I've used vegas for the past 3-4 years
