Ok so I'm not looking into a pc to game as in pc gaming but just something that can handle recording ps3/ps4/xbox one etc

If I use my elgato to record HD it just stops 2 or 3 mins in. I can only record in SD and since I do want to play some sd games from older gens it is ok to a point but would still like to play newer games. Is theire a pc that can handle recording those that is not like 1,000? I tried to look but I have no idea about specs and all that techy stuff.

Honestly I'm not sure why it stops, apart from hard drive space there shouldn't really be any other factors limiting you recording in HD, not using a capture card, do you get an error code, or does it just stop?

It just stops. Granted my desktop is an all in one. Heard those are weaker but not sure if that is the reason. And if it was my Eglato I would think even recording sd games it would be buggy not just for hd.

Build your own. It's easy, and saves you a ton of money. You can build a solid rig for about $500.

Do you have plenty of Hard Drive space? Its just that the PC doesn't do much work recording from a capture card, so I'm trying to figure out the issue. Try updating your elgato software drivers too if you can.
