Exactly! As long as you enjoy it then your fans will too! And you being happy with your work is most important. =]
Just keep at it and in the long run having a variety of content will attract many fans from all over.
 
I currently do a lot of gaming related content. Right now mainly let's plays but I plan on doing reviews on ones I have played, thoughts on up coming games that I have seen and some compilation type videos. I have had friends request I do a spicy challenge like the super spicy ramen and upload that. But I have not decided yet.

Yea I'm quite convinced now to just upload whatever I feel like, as someone said up there it's so important that I enjoy what Im doing! ;)

i'm a tad late, but i personally love videos that are "get ready with me" chats. you put on your makeup from bare face all the way to fully faced, whilst talking about anything on your mind. it can be a great way to integrate vlogs into a beauty channel, or a channel with less vloggy tendencies. lifestyle videos which are a day in the life but voiced over by you, or have an intro and outro and then a voice over by you can also be effective.

I loved those ideas. My next video will probably be the first one you mentioned actually. For the second I have to get better skills at editing :x

I wonder if this would work for my niche as well... Guess I'll have to do some research and see what videos other youtubers in my niche put out apart from nail related stuff... And then figure out about what and how I could make videos. Oddly enough I always prefer channels that stick to their niche, but chatty get ready with me videos and alike... Yes please.

Normally in the get ready with me videos people stick up to explain the look they're using but a chatty one might be a great idea. I honestly will only know when I try it out because I'm quite curious about how it's gonna go. Might get messy because you have to at least mention what product you"'re using. I'll only know after trying x)
