Channel Trailer Question

Hey Everyone,

Quick question, when making a new channel trailer, do you make the old one private? I made a channel trailer a while ago and I was obviously camera shy and all (and didn't really know what goes into making a good trailer). A lot of people tell me that my channel trailer is nice, but I feel that it could be and should be better now that I have started to become comfortable in my own stride on Youtube. So should the old trailer be hidden when a new one is made and also, what kind of suggestions would you make for a great channel trailer?

I personally don't in all honesty. A bit of video history never hurts anyone, but it comes under your decision is. To answer the next question, keep these in mind when making an appropriate channel trailer. It has to be relatively short (around 40-60 seconds I'd usually say), informative to the audience (such as what you will be doing on your channel), as well as creative (in order to persuade your target audience).

I would hide your old one. It's just a little more professional, also a trailer should give a quick rundown on what your channel is all about. Add music, dialog and a bunch of attractive scenes from your videos. Or you can just sit in front of the camera explaining what your channel is all about.

Personally don't delete it or anything but simply replace it. As someone mentioned before having old videos up wont hurt and is often sometimes funny when you and your subs look back at where you started. Keep it up there I say!

I would put your old one on private. Mainly because that trailer can be your momento to your YouTube channel.
