Channel trailer or no channel trailer..

I made one when I first start my channel but i'm now trying to decide whether I should make another or if I should just have my recent video there instead. Any one else got any thoughts on this?
 
I guess it depends a bit on the type of your channel and your personal preferences too. I use my most recent video or one that I'm really proud of though. :)
 
If you've gotten better at making videos by all means you could make a new trailer to better showcase your channel or just to mix it up a little. As long as you have a decent channel trailer it's all good i'd say :)
 
I just use a short ~60sec clip from one of my longer videos that reflects what my channel is about, and is a little funny as well.

I can't justify spending time making an "official" trailer when most if not all of my viewers come from direct links to my videos, and probably wouldn't see it anyway.
 
I realized that I am incapable of making a good channel trailer. Somehow, my personality and humor don't come through, no matter how a splice together video clips or even myself talking about my channel for a trailer. So, now I just keep a video I love up for a few weeks and then switch it out every now and then.
 
I would say only go with another channel trailer if you're really good at editing and can piece together something that looks decent. Unless your trailer would be just you talking about what's on your channel, in which case that'd have to be pretty interesting as well.

Having your most recent video/video you really like also isn't a bad idea. There are tons of channels that I come across that do this. So even if you can't come up with a trailer you like, you've got this option as a safety net in a way.

So I guess I'd say, try for another channel trailer.
 
The sheer power of being able to target only those who aren't subscribed but that visit your channel page with a specific video is immense. I can't think of a situation where spending the time to make a trailer is a bad idea.
 
I use my recent video on my channel, it can help with getting more views on those more recent videos.
