Channel Stuck at 90?

thejadonmayhew

I Love YTtalk
So, for a good period of time now I've been stuck at 90 subscribers, or near enough to 90. It was 92 at one point, then 89 and now 90 again, but there's no real change.

I'd be lying if I said I don't look at my subscriber count and wonder why it's not going up, which is why I'm making this thread. I do YouTube because it's really fun and I like the feeling you get knowing you've made someones day, made them smile or laugh - which people have told me I've done!

That doesn't stop me wondering why I'm stuck around this number. So close to that magical 100, yet so far. I can't seem to budge across the 100 line. The views on my videos for the most part are fairly good, sometimes between 50-70 and I've never had people tell me anything super negative about my channel.

I've looked at loads of guides and things like that, but no real change. Perhaps my content isn't worthy of someone clicking that big red button or there's something else I'm missing?

I'm sure loads of people have been in this situation, or are in this situation currently so any help from anyone would be really appreciated. :)

You'll find that throughout your YouTube experience that there will be some numbers that will act as hurdles that you must cross, and once you do, it'll grow a bit easier..Though, keep in mind there are more hurdles ahead, and it's just something that takes time. You could be more involved in communities, and get to know people!

I had that problem with 108 subscribers and a while back with 60-some subscribers. I just recently got passed the 108 mark two days ago, and I think i'll start going up again soon. The only real thing that you can do is keep uploading good content and eventually people will subscribe to you. Either that, or you could buy subscribers if you're really that desperate.

Thank you. I try to be involved with YTTalk, which is a great community of people - but as I'm extremely busy sometimes, I struggle to find the time.

Hey there :) Finding rough spots is fairly common, don't feel too beat up over it.

Quick glance at your channel, I noticed that you could definitely improve your tags on your videos. I looked at your latest, the Black Ops one, and there is just no way you're gonna rank at all in the 'Call of Duty' tag. Try longer tags, more specific and tailor it to your video.

As I said on another thread:
Check out the thread: HOW TO: Get More Views by Targeting 'Long Tail'/Compound Keywords for Tags. Another helpful resource is 'Video Creators' on Youtube. It's a great channel that has a TON of helpful advice for us YTbers :)

Best of luck!

Tags are private aren't they? Or are you referring to my video description?

Oh right, haha. What sort of tags would you suggest in this case then? Any help is appreciated.
I'm not too familiar with the gaming community, unfortunately. I definitely recommend checking out the thread I mentioned and the YouTube channel. I'd tie in what game you're playing in the tags, just be more specific.

So if I'm drawing a picture of a dog, I wouldn't just put "dog." Perhaps what breed? What tools did I use? "Drawing a cute poodle" or maybe "painting realistic husky".

Thanks for your help, I've updated them now. I think they're better? I'll check that thread out too.[DOUBLEPOST=1440801525,1440800783][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hadn't seen your response before, sorry. I'll never buy subscribers.. for a start that's against YouTube's terms and it'd feel wrong anyway. But yeah, I guess it's a waiting game. Though, I am improving my tags currently.
