Channel Name: Does it Matter?

I've been watching a lot of videos lately where people explain how to succeed in YouTube. Some people, not many, have mentioned that you shouldn't use alot of X's, numbers, or terms that may describe your channel. So bask ally they recommend you make a name, not a Title.

Do you guys think that a channel name has any bearing on a channels success? I have my own opinions but m curious to see what you guys think. Thanks!

I think the channel name is very important for your channel. You want it to be unique, and rememberable. Look at businesses for an example. You don't see "CocaCola5931012" do you? No. It's all about remembering the name.

Yes and no. If its catchy then it sticks in peoples minds better, which can only be a good thing. But people like zoella (dont remember the numbers) havent seemed to have a problem with this lol.

Yes and no,i have seen numerous 100k subs people with crazy and hard to memorise names but they are unique in their own way and people like unique,but for most people,they need a catchy name(not like mine LOL), to grab viewers attention,hope I helped

I think a name should be unique... you can defiantly use numbers and x's but you still want it to be readible. Like Juicystar07 or xSomethingx...because no one takes a usename serious thats like xx466kiss4my5butt4333

as long as it reflects you or what your posting i think thats all that matters

I feel it pays a part in getting noticed. If you have a nice and catchy username, then people will most likely remember it

I have seen channels that have not nice names like swearing and other stuff so those channels don't get many subs usually depends though my channel name was decided because at first my name was taken but latter on I changed it url is still the same so I'm found under to channel names cool

i think the username counts a bit in SEO. not sure but when people search about a certain topic on google i'm sure if you name has ______ in it i'll show up.

I think it does matter, but not a whole lot. I have seen channels with some pretty funky names and still have 50k + subscribers. Just try not to use many numbers or random letters.
