Speaking as a vlogger, if you script all your videos it's much less awkward talking to a camera, and you have room to grow your confidence. You could consider doing book reviews or doing a travel vlog, or just generic vlogs about your life. It sounds like you would have a lot to talk about.

What you could do if you don't really want to show your face is create a persona. It will help you build your confidence up and gets you comfortable with being in front of the camera. Its always easier to play a made up character. Once you have established this and you are comfortable and more confident you can start vlogging.

Have your character do stuff around your town. You might think its small, but its different from other places and can make interesting locations. Also get friends involved in your videos. Filming on your own is never easy and having people around make the experience more fun

Your channel should be filled with things that interest you and videos that you would want to make.

I mean create a character. Give her name, dress her up, give her an accent, and a crazy personality. Its really up to you. By doing so you can become whoever you want to be and be as interesting as you decide. Is your character going to be mad scientist? A pompous princess? a crazy thrill seeking dare devil? a nerdy girl? Its up to your imagination. And you dont have to have just one persona. You can create many and eventually mix them all up in one video.
