Changing up some stuff.

Wigglenator

Loving YTtalk
So I just realized I have a very similar introduction to Markiplier. As pointed out to me by a fellow Redditor. I didn't see it initially, but when he put it in quotations. It does come close. So I was wondering should I keep my introduction or change it to

"Welcome back everyone, my name is Wigglenator" then all the rest.

As long as it sounds good and natural then it is fine. I didn't think to much about my introduction, I just said what came naturally to me ("hey YouTube this is Ameer Matani here for Stike96") and I just stuck with it :).

Sorry, I don't have any advice for you...I would just like to say that "Wigglenator" is the most goddamn sexy name I've heard in a long time.

Actually as many of the others have already stated, it is up to you, but I can tell ya my little story about the same thing and maybe it can help a little :)

So I started out with Let's Playing, 2-4 videos in I began to notice that my outro was very similar to Markiplier's outro, so I stopped myself immediately to see what else I could do that others wasn't using and after some time fiddeling around with the idea, I found both my newest intro and outro: "Grab yourself a hot drink, a blanket and make yourself comfortable, my name is Trinity and this is/welcome back to [game title]" and then when the video was around the end: "Thank you guys so very much for watching, do stay tuned for more. Stay cozy and have a nice day!"

As you can see if you look at it, you can point out my outro sound a little like Jacksepticeye's but I do use my own way with some extra and that sort of became what I used in all my videos.

Nevertheless, to sum it all up for you mate. Do it the way you not only feel, but also know is the right for you and then go with it from there...one thing is to have the same lines as another, it's another thing if you try to sound exactly like them in the outro/intro sequence ;)

I hope this help a little and the best of luck on your journey on Youtube!
Stay cozy and have a nice day! - Trinity

I think I will go with "Welcome back everyone, my name is Wigglenator" I feel that it is more comfortable to say and more reassuring to any viewers that happen to watch a video of mine. I've been trying to awaken my really obnoxious side that I have with friends because I feel that will make me more unique compared to most other Youtubers. Though it is hard because I have only been that obnoxious with my best friends. Nobody else. Hopefully I can get out of this cocoon of mine and become a butterfly soon.

I don't watch Markiplier's videos, so I had to pull one up to compare to yours, and while it is slightly similar, it's not a big issue, I feel, so if you don't want to change it, you don't have to! Just go with whatever makes you feel comfortable!

I'd definitely encourage you to try and have the personality on camera be the same one you have with your friends. You want to be completely yourself with your viewers, so they can connect to you - and like you mentioned, it'll help make you stand out. If you act with your viewers the same way you do with your best friends, that helps make them feel like they're your friend too, and not just a random person watching your video. That's why for my videos, I think "screw it" and I act as ridiculous as I do amongst friends.

I was bullied all my life so I was always defensive against anyone who wasn't in my circles, but I made my Youtube to get out of that mindset and my depression. I want to be able to be myself all the time instead of just with friends.

No worries, I'm confident you'll find an intro that you feel fits you whether it's close to another's intro or not. No doubt you'll be able to create one that you're happy with and people will instantly recognize :D :Blackalien2:

As others have said, definitely just go with what makes you comfortable!
Heck with the number of youtube channels out there, surely there is bound to be a few youtubers with a similar intro haha :) so no big deal really!
