Changing Thumbnails

I made a new channel and I put first video up. I wanted the video to be good and be seen by people. So I changed the custom thumbnail a couple hours after it was being uploaded. I noticed it takes over 48 hours for the thumbnail to be available on all devices. If go on certain browsers the change might be there but on other devices it might not be. I changed the thumbnail again yesterday morning and it is still not available on all devices. The only place where the thumbnail change is available instantly is under my video manager. This is interesting. Since this is my first video, I figured it would be fine if I played around with my thumbnail. But I guess for everyone else, my advice is to change your thumbnail while the video is uploading and don't change it again. Just my thoughts. It is really annoying because right now my video has 3 different thumbnails depending on where I look for it.
 
Yeah thumbnails can be a while before they are changed :) Always set it when you upload the video, unless you are prepared to endure the wait ;)
 
I get this glitch allot of the time, its due to the cookies on the browser remembering the old thumbnail and putting that there instead of the new one. the new thumbnail will most likely show for everyone else. (Of course I could be wrong, but this is what happens to me when I have to change the thumbnail)

It's due to your cache, when you load up a website instead of repeatedly downloading images all the time it stores them, and goes to them for it, so you're loading up the original rather than the new one.

If emptying your cache doesn't work press CTRL+SHIFT+N to go into Incognito Mode (In-Private Browsing) and look at your channel from there.

Why would I need counselling?
Because I had a thumbnail get ripped off? I didn't do it on purpose...

Um go back and reread what he said XD Ill give you a hint he wasnt talking about an image XD XD XD
