Can't see my avatar after linking with Google+

I've linked my YouTube channel with Google+ and set my avatar on the website, yet on YouTube I still see a default icon on my channel like this, which quite bothers me:

Does everyone have this, or it changes with time or something? The avatar shows up fine on my G+ Page, only not on YouTube.

Okay, here's what I do. I think I had the same problem, and actually still have a similar problem.

Click on the icon on YouTube to edit, and it'll open it in Google+. That works better for me it seems. It does take a while to upload. Also, make sure you share it on Google+. That too seems to have an effect. When done, wait a few hours and be sure to log in and out at some point. All of these things seem to help.

My icon shows for me, but when people subscribe and then click to a different page, it goes away on their subscriptions bar. I don't know what to do! Stupid G+, right?

Sometimes it can take a little bit if the servers are down. Give it a few hours to a day.
