Can't Make a Youtube Show? No Problem!

I thought the shows option was only given to you by specific networks or when you hit a certain sub count when partnered with YouTube? "You do not have permission to view this page." is what I get lol I've never known it to be an open feature, at least not when I started. I also don't have the option for a "series playlist".
Before people with networks could get it but they've hidden the feature to make it look like we can't get it but those with partnership with a network will still be able to use it accessing the link even if it says they have to use series playlists...I thought youtube would've been smart enough to get past this loop hole. Maybe they're too busy trying to dominate the interwebs with google+ ;)

I hate how a lot of their settings are getting removed from the options, yet you can still access them. Like, if you're going to remove it, REMOVE IT! xD

I don't know why they just wouldn't allow the feature to adsense partners. I would have liked to have used it, they seem much cleaner than playlists + it's beneficial to viewers, since I recall being able to subscribe to shows and not the channel. That meant people could watch the specific videos they wanted. I know they can do it anyways but it's a lot messier when you go to a channel and have to search through all their videos to find the series you're watching. At least it's how I feel with all the channels I watch.

I feel the same way, but then if they give the show feature to the non network partners it'll be taking away the meaning of partnership even more like what they did with the banners and thumbs

Why though? :P Invest your time into making a series playlist. Shows is being retired so I doubt YT will approve the show.

shows give a lot more features than playlists do but strangely enough before they tried to take it away I made a show and I forgot to put a graphic on it and so it wasn't apporoved but it still had the show features on the video such as the title link and the cast and crew, age rating etc :) I had no idea they were stopping the shows though, what's the need for that?

In a way yeah but for gaming channels it's a little different I guess, since most are daily content some even do multiple vids a day, and for gaming channels most partnerships are redundant anyways unless you want more money lol I'd be happy even if they added the ability to sub to playlists but add the sub count to your channels main sub count. I made the mistake of having multiple series' fairly early and I want to get some of them out of the way but don't want to have videos getting missed, which some do if I do multiples.[DOUBLEPOST=1396532410,1396532321][/DOUBLEPOST]

Heh, the need is for YouTube to show off their awesome logic: "Oh this feature is useful & convenient to content creators? Let's remove it and replace it with something less convenient."

Playlists seem more effective, pretty sure that's the reason. Autoplay, they show a guide next to the video to encourage additional views to older videos or other relevant topics. Most of the big channels use playlists.

There is something seriously wrong with the people working at youtube, seriously wrong....[DOUBLEPOST=1396532627][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm not sure of this but I think with the shows it has a thing at the top saying 'Next in (showname)' with the video but I don't see the point in getting rid of them, I think playlists are quite helpful but in a sense they are quite different to what the show feature is for, it's useful and very handy and helps seperate actual shows from the other videos of a channel I think the people at HQ are off their heads :p
