Can you help me decide planning to buy SLR

I use a canon 650d which is the model below the 700d. If you end up going for the Canon I'd think about getting a refurbished or new (if you can find one) 650d as the jump in price to a 700d is not worth it in the slightest. Mpb.com is a good site for refurbished cameras

AdamsEats Your camera is awesome! such a clear picture! Im thinking of getting a cannon since im using only my phone right now :/[DOUBLEPOST=1496685297,1496685194][/DOUBLEPOST]
I use both a Nikon d5100 and a d3100 and they both are really good cameras. I mainly use the d5100 because it has the flip out screen which is handy.

All I had to do was add a microphone and eventually even bought a 35mm lens and its honestly great.

Nikon isn't too expensive and basic lenses are affordable. I think its hard to compare them all together since they are all great cameras. I would honestly say get the cheapest, then get a lens that you like!
I've played with a Nikon and there is so much more to learn! But It's also a very beautiful camera! Very nice!

I've watched like so many reviews about Nikon D5200 it seems like the best choice for what i was planning to have the camera for it seems pretty dope in low light. But yeah i still haven't bought it lol but thats my pick.
Thank you for the answer appreciate it[DOUBLEPOST=1497345355,1497345311][/DOUBLEPOST]

Never underestimate the convenience of a flip out screen to see yourself and an external microphone port for much better audio quality.

Yeah Nikon is on my mind right now because of its good reviews.. thank you

Definitely a canon for video. Theyre much better for video. I find Nikon better for pictures/stills. Also on a lot of nikons you can't change some settings in video mode so this limits you whereas on some canons you can. It depends if you'll be manual or auto settings. I'd go down the canon line for video. And then can upgrade to somehting like a 70/80d with dual focus points etc
