Can I and my friend post the same video after collaboration?

I'm pretty sure you can post the same exact video if you wanted but I think that may be a bit redundant for any of your mutual viewers and any potential viewers. Possibly if it's like a tag or a challenge maybe you can cut it in half and post half on your channel and half on your friends channel so it's not the same exact. :)

Thanks for the ideas!

If you look at my channel trailer/last video posted. It's a dual commentary that is a single video split into 2 videos of which the first part is on my channel that ends on an interesting point or cliffhanger if you're really into the game I post on.

That way I funnel traffic to his channel for those that make it to the end, but to get them hooked initially, a trailer of 15 seconds or so starts the first part of the video with highlights of the dual comm where his channel is linked.

Next, part 2 is on his channel where he has a custom introduction to let his audience know that part 1 is at this link, and then it finishes from there.

While I do gain more of an advantage for having my video with the first part on my channel, it still helps both of us share subs without having to post the same video minus the intros/outros. It's also shows a nice bump in both of our analytics which is nice for a change since all my dual commentaries in the past have been to promote the smaller channels to get them going. His was one of those channels months ago, and now he's grown to over 20k subs making it beneficial on both sides now.

Not to mention, IMHO, I believe he'll pass me one day and when I need a boost, I'll get it. As is the case for any of the dozen or more that I promoted when they started out with the right intentions and talents for YouTubing. I think I enjoy talking YouTube strategy 100x time more than talking the game strategy since at the end of the day, it's YouTube I enjoy, not the game I play atm.

That would you could. I would prefer your own point of view. Take in "the crew" for example they play the same games together but put up their own pov of the game seszion. Hope this helps.

Maybe shake it up and just have a different intro? I know some of the "bigger" YouTubers that do collabs will often record two different openings - one for each channel, addressing their individual subscribers and whatnot. Just for some variety.
