Can I and my friend post the same video after collaboration?

I want to do a collaboration with one of my youtuber friend. But the thing I don't get right now is that can we both post the same video in our channel and monetize it?Or we will have a content ID match?I am not sure actually how this works.Or if there are some other processes that would allow us both to upload the same video of our collaboration then I would like to know.Thanks.

Hmmm good question haha but i think you can both upload it. Don't quote me on that though!
Maybe you can add different footage & editing to your video so it's a little bit different to your friends :)

You both can. If you both are in it, and both created it, then you both have rights to it.

I don't see why you would both want to post the exact same video, you're basically halving your audience before you even get an audience. You would want both videos to be a little different as no ones going to watch the same video twice. If both videos are different you can recommend people go over to the other channel to get another perspective or see some things that you're video missed out.

Gamers do it all the time. They use any gameplay for visual and then commentate. The POV changes from channel to channel. So yes you can since you both created it and no there won't be content id match.

Yeah, if both of you are in the video and created it then I see no problem with doing that. I would only add the link to his channel too and vice versa. Don't worry I am very sure that won't give a content ID.

You 'can' but I wouldn't recommend using the exact same video. Making two and each posting one is a good way to do it or editing the video separately would make it a little more interesting I guess
