Can a YouTuber's Name Affect Growth/Views Per Video?

My YouTube name is NicsterV, and because my first name is Nic (this name is usually spelled as "Nick") people sometimes think my YouTube name is actually NicksterV. Also, people sometimes think my name is NicesterV, or even Nickserv. This has gotten me thinking, can this affect a channel's growth? If someone can't remember your YouTube channel name, they won't be able to search for your videos, thus getting less views on the channel. Maybe this thought is completely false, but if this can affect a channel's growth, do you think NicsterV is an easy name to remember and not spell incorrectly? Thanks!! :)
 
I'd say so. If your name was something along the lines of Xx_$w@gsc0-peszXX or some name that looks encrypted then no one would remember your name or whatever. NicsterV is easy to remember, but I'd understand why people would get confused. NicksterV sounds more....accessible? I guess? IDK how else I would describe it. Not an expert on this stuff, just my feelings

That'll be pretty cool. I'll be kind of honest, I'm personally more keen on NicksterV, but that's just me. You can choose what you do with your name, in the end :D
 
Names can definitely have an impact on growth, you want something that is memorable, easy to say, easy to type, related to what you do ideally and something that doesnt blend in the with crowd. CODGamerGuy might not sound that bad compared to 1killztRiKcshotttz but it blends in with the crowd of other COD gamer guys, if your name stands out in a good way it can give you an edge.

I think not at all. I mean really, what are the odds of someone searching your name unless they've already heard of you.
