Also...Two thousand? Where you getting them that cheap? You have to remember the lens too you know! :)

That's more like it, I'm from the UK too, although got my D800 for about £1400 so very cheap in comparison! If you're paying that much for a camera though you need decent lenses too ;)

I have a Canon Vixia HF R42, same camera as the ones pictured above, just a different model.
They are camcorders, but they do take pictures as well. You can even snap a photo while taking a video.
They're also very small and lightweight, mine fits in my pockets.

But if you don't want something that's shaped like a camcorder, most digital cameras do take video as well, although I'm not sure on video quality, and I haven't seen many with audio quality that wasn't rubbish.
 
I also recommend the canon rebel T3i. Most of my youtuber friends use this camera, and it seems relatively user friendly for a serious camera for beginners. The flipping viewfinder thing is also so convenient to be able to see if you are focused or not. I have no idea how many times I have filmed to realize I was out of focus completely on other devices.
