Camera?

I couldn't view the link but nikon are a pretty trusted manufacturer. Look up some reviews of the camera and see if any youtubers use it ?

Why would you want a DSLR? If it's only to video YouTube videos it'll be perfectly fine, that's what I film my YouTube videos with :) With adapter you can attach hotshoe lights etc :D
 
I would honestly look up some used options aswell, you can probably find stuff like that one and the s100 much cheaper aswell

I was watching some sample videos on youtube and it looks like it captures decent quality but i didnt see any footage from indoors or low light situations. try and find out how it works in low light before you buy it and if it can cope i dont see why not :) but there is a chance it will be grainy indoors whilst filming vlogs etc so it will be worth while checking out first

I have an LED spotlight trained on me during my videos. Do you think that'll be okay for lighting?
 
It might be, but again some cameras dont pick up LED lighting that well and still appear grainy or just dont look natural etc, a soft box is idea and not to expensive im pretty sure over here you can get 2 for like 80 pounds. I really dont film much indoors but also my camera copes really well in low light situations and can actually capture at night time. The best thing to do is try and find a youtuber who uses that camera and ask them if you can
