Camera (+ Microphone) for getting started

Hi friends, I'm getting started on doing Youtube videos.
Right now I've no camera and I have a budget of 250 ~ 300$: can you please recommend me a good setup for recording (camera + microphone)? I would record mostly indoor.
Thanks!

What type of videos do you plan on making? That sometimes can affect what camera is recommended. :)
Camera on a table or a tripod, and me talking in front of it, nothing more. :) So I'd need a good audio quality, and I'd like a nice image quality too. :)

Do you have a smartphone or ipod touch? If you don't you can get an ipod touch for around $200 and you can get the Rode VideoMic Me for around $60. That would be decent for your budget. You could probably find a tripod with adapter or something and still be in budget.

You can get a blue snowball mic for around $50 and a Logitech facecam (1080p) for around $60, tho if you have more money, a blue yeti mic for $100 is even better and you could buy a holder and mic cover with your budget.

Agree with the Blue Snowball, and a Logitech webcam. I got the C920 webcam for 79 dollars and it serves my purposes well, and I do the same as you want to do.
