Well I'm using a canon 600d (T3i) ($677AU), the same as emmablackery. I love it. It has a flip out screen perfect for vlogging. I would also recommend a nifty fifty lens (50mm) ($129AU) for vloggy sort of videos (on a tripod) because it gives really nice portraits. I also use a Rode Video Mic Pro ($250AU), though for a time I was recording on my phone and syncing the audio in post. But the mic gives so much better quality. Note these prices are for Australia and like 8 months old.
