You may not know this, getting a business licence maybe required in your city or state. Earning money from your YouTube channel is seen as a business. I'm planning on getting a business licence when I earn my first check from Google. Most of my money is made on my blogs and not at my YouTube channel. Buying a business licence is required by my city's laws.

Have you purchased a business licence for your YouTube channel or related brand? Do your city or state laws require you to do so?
 
I do not know of any country/ city that requires a contractor (which is what a partner is) to be registered as a company.

That would mean 10-20% of employed individuals would need to have businesses..
