Burn your associated website URL into your YouTube video. Do or Don't?

Jungle Explorer

I Love YTtalk
Okay, I have a website for sharing my videos and other related content, like nature photography. It is the same name as my youtube channel, facebook page, Google+ account etc. Since YT got rid of Annotations, there really is no way to display your website URL on your videos to let viewers know that you have a website. I know about "CARDS".

My question is. Is it allowed by YT policies to burn my website URL into my videos? You know, during the editing and rendering process, so that the URL is a permanent part of the video? I don't see this on other YT videos, so I assume it is not allowed, but I cannot find anything specifically in the ToS that forbids it. If someone could give me a clear authoritative answer on this, it would be appreciated.

Do you have actually contact details on how I can contact youtube? I have been to their "Official Youtube Help Forum", at which no actual "Officials" of youtube work. It's just another blind leading the blind forum with unfounded opinions and no solid answers.

No it isn't against the rules, I've been doing that on a separate private YT channel connected to my big boy job for years and they've been monetized for as long as well.

Don't even bother trying to contact YouTube. If you do, good luck and expect to wait 3-4 weeks for a response. If you get one.

Thanks.

Yeah, it is allowed. What comes to mind straight away though is that people would probably not want to have to manually type in the web address into their web browser (especially on mobile), so you could just put it in the description as well as on a card. During the video, you could then mention that it's in those places and say why they should go to your website (to see more nature photos, animal facts, etc.).

Think about it, if they've seen that your URL is a thing that's available, they wouldn't have to keep seeing it. If they want to check out your website they'll know that it's there to check out.

I think of it more as Branding. We know what a Polo shirt is because the Polo brand is on the front all the time. Youtube already has a Branding function and it works good to get people to subscribe. I don't see how burning a website url into the video in a corner out of the way could hurt anything. My url is simple and easy, so people can remember it. Of coures, I add it the description area too, and maybe throw a card in with a clickable link for good measure.

Ok yeah, that's fair enough
