Brutal Honesty

I've Got It
I was wondering, since I'm always an advocate of being honest with feedback, how do you tell a YouTuber that their content is not very entertaining (when they ask for feedback.) I never want to be mean but I don't want to be a hypocrite and lie to their face. This is not a post specific for anyone, just wondering and curious to see how you all would go about such a thing. :)
I know I may be coming off as an a**...
Fully aware.

You have to be really careful hehe. Some people do not like to hear the truth.....at all. You kind of have to judge how the person would react. I personally, love brutal honesty. I think it can be very helpful. You can even ask someone before hand..'well do you want me to be really honest, even if it's not something you want to hear?' something along the lines of that? Just be sensitive toward people too.

I will straight up tell people that i dont find their content entertaining, but i also realise that a lot of people are entertained by things i find mundane and boring so usually i will say it in words such as. 'This isnt my kind of thing'

Well I don't tend to confront people on YouTube, because they can become haters.( don't need them)
If I did though I would be more constructive criticism then "This sucks"

Yeah I don't want to have people hate me lol :(
I love brutal honesty too.
The thing is I never get much feedback and when I do it's never real-seeming. (Yay for bad wording)
Now I kind of crave for people to be brutally honest.
Thanks for the tip :D

I am a fan of just saying it exactly how it is. the type of people that get offended often are set in their ways and wouldn't listen to the feedback anyay

Very true. Feedback is awesome and some people have to realize if something isn't working they should be a little more open.[DOUBLEPOST=1377809449,1377809389][/DOUBLEPOST]

Not sure I understand...

I will be brutally honest but make sure they know its for their benefit and I am not trying to just make fun of them and to keep it up. I will also give them tips on what they did right and to keep it up. If they can't take criticism very good, they probably won't make it very far :/. So I wouldn't let them getting mad at you, beat you up to bad.
